Overview:
Hope for the Journey is an annual flagship conference produced by Show Hope, designed to encourage and equip adoptive and foster care parents, educators, and professionals with practical tools grounded in Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®). Developed by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, TBRI® is a trauma-informed care model that has become essential in addressing the complex needs of vulnerable children.
Since 2021, I have led the creative execution of the "Going Deeper" and "Practical Perspectives" video series—core components of the Hope for the Journey experience. These series have helped expand the conference into a robust, video-on-demand (VOD) resource that reaches thousands of viewers annually.
Responsibilities:
Developed and refined the creative vision alongside Show Hope’s leadership
Directed all principal photography with a focus on warmth, clarity, and emotional resonance
Oversaw post-production pipelines, ensuring content delivery on tight annual timelines
Worked with speakers, clinicians, and families to create an approachable, informative viewing experience
Impact:
These ongoing video series continue to grow as essential resources for Show Hope’s community, strengthening families and training care providers around the world. The project’s success reflects a shared commitment to excellence, empathy, and hope for children from hard places.
